DYNAFIT Transalpine Run 2026

7 Days. 250+ Kilometres. 15,000 Metres of Elevation. One Adventure to Remember.

The DYNAFIT Transalpine Run 2026 with HOST-Events

What a week.

Seven days of trail running. Seven stages. An entirely new route through the Swiss Alps. And right in the middle of it all: our guests, experiencing one of Europe's most extraordinary trail running adventures together.

From Lenzerheide to the grand finish at Lake Maggiore in Locarno, the DYNAFIT Transalpine Run 2026 took runners through an incredible variety of landscapes – from high alpine trails and the Rhine Gorge to the Greina Plateau and historic trails in Ticino, all the way to the Mediterranean shores of Lake Maggiore.

And HOST-Events was right there with you.

Not simply as spectators.

But right in the middle of the adventure.

Together with our guests, we turned an already legendary trail running race into a complete experience – with carefully selected hotels, shared moments off the trails and the peace of mind that the important details were taken care of.

A Week That Felt Like a Movie

28 August – 3 September 2026.

Lenzerheide → Ilanz → Vrin → Olivone → Biasca → Sonogno → Locarno.

A new start every morning.

New trails every day.

A new story every evening.

And in between: tired legs. Determined minds. Mountains conquered. And those moments when you simply stop, look around and think:

“Wow. This is exactly why we're here.”

The seven official stages ranged from a punchy 19 kilometres on the opening day to 51 kilometres on stage two. In total, runners faced more than 250 kilometres and around 15,000 metres of elevation gain.

Lenzerheide – The Starting Line

The week was still young. Legs were fresh. Excitement was high.

The adventure began in Lenzerheide with the first stage of the Transalpine Run. At 19 kilometres and 1,275 metres of elevation gain, it was the perfect introduction: short enough to leave you wanting more, but challenging enough to make one thing immediately clear:

This was not going to be an ordinary week.

Through the Rhine Gorge

Then things got serious.

On the way to Ilanz, the route took runners through the spectacular Rhine Gorge. Steep rock faces, wild landscapes and trails winding their way through one of Switzerland's most impressive natural environments.

And suddenly it hit us:

This is what a trail running adventure is all about.

The Greina Plateau

The fourth stage from Vrin to Olivone brought one of the great highlights of the entire route.

The Greina Plateau.

Wide-open landscapes. High alpine terrain. A feeling of remoteness. And that very special atmosphere you only experience when you're moving through the mountains under your own power.

Welcome to Ticino

With Olivone and Biasca, the atmosphere began to change.

The mountains remained, but the landscape became increasingly Mediterranean. Historic mule tracks, chestnut forests and, eventually, the Verzasca Valley transformed the Transalpine Run into a journey through completely different worlds.

The Grand Finale: Locarno

And then, suddenly, it was there:

The final trail.

Sonogno to Locarno. Another 41.5 kilometres. Almost 2,000 metres of elevation gain. One last push. One last battle with tired legs.

And then:

Lake Maggiore.

After seven days of trail running, thousands of metres of elevation and countless stories, our guests crossed the finish line in Locarno.

A moment that won't be forgotten anytime soon.

HOST-Events: Because the Adventure Is More Than the Trail

The Transalpine Run is an incredible experience in its own right.

But we believe a week like this should feel good off the trail, too.

That's why we created a complete experience for our guests.

Great hotels.

Comfortable nights.

Breakfast together.

Reliable logistics.

And above all: time to enjoy this extraordinary week together.

While the trails were taking care of the elevation gain, our guests could switch off, recharge and focus on what really mattered: enjoying the adventure.

Because that's what HOST-Events is all about:

You focus on the adventure.

We'll take care of the rest.

What Will Stay With Us?

Not just the kilometres.

Not just the elevation.

Not just the medal.

It's the moments in between.

The early-morning coffee.

The first glimpse of the mountains.

The cheers along the course.

That moment when your legs told you they had had enough.

The meal afterwards.

The laughter over completely ridiculous stories from the trail.

And, of course, that one moment at the finish line when you realise that seven days are suddenly over.

Participants become a crew.

A week becomes a memory.

And a race becomes a real adventure.

Thank you for your commitment, your humour, your energy and for making this week what it was.

And, of course:

Thank you to the TAR Family.
